MHT, Inc. maintains a permanent staff of designers, detailers and project managers. Our staff is involved daily in the engineering and management of a wide variety of projects throughout the eastern United States. Over the past
8 years, we have acquired a wealth of experience in a variety of tasks.
Project management encompasses all phases of the company's participation on a project. It begins with consultation on estimating job value and bid preparation, and ends when the job is completed to the clients satisfaction. Our management team of office based project managers and site based superintendents produces a combination of skills that enable us to efficiently perform our projects. These professionals have demonstrated skill in scheduling, cost control, labor management and engineering, as well as hands-on craft skills. We utilize a networking computer system for all accounting, purchase order tracking, job costing, inventory control and other related functions. Our systems provide us with accurate information to manage purchase commitments and labor, cash flow projections and many other system functions. Project scheduling is performed on MS Project and other specialized software.
Estimating
We have developed an experienced staff of engineers, estimators and design/detailing technicians to manage our highly automated estimating department. Our systems use "Auto cad" and other integrated support software for computer assisted takeoff, data files, and preliminary project scheduling
that make an inexact science of estimating industrial construction a possibility. With these tools, our professional engineers and field supervisors combine their knowledge and experience to prepare cost estimates that take into account not only dollars, but manpower, equipment resources, delivery constraints and project requirements. This process allows for a fast transition from estimating to job startup, and can eliminate many problems throughout the project.
Design/Drafting
We produce in-house 2-D and 3-D drawings using the latest software and technology interfaced with various output devices. We have the capability to deliver your drawings electronically saving cost and reducing turnaround time associated with last minute updates or changes. We also can deliver on CD-ROM, Zip, and diskette media. MHT utilizes the latest technologies in computer work stations and software, including a conveyor layout program , conveyor timing software etc., and CNC / DXF layout software with capabilities to nest various shapes to maximize material utilization.
Workplace Design
#1 utilization. When designing workplaces, MHT tries to find the perfect balance between technical requirements and human needs. Merging a positive working environment with a state-of-the-art ergonomic design creates an optimum workplace for people working in order picking or packaging. A synthesis of man and machine is obtained, yielding an immediate increase of efficiency and productivity of automated material handling and warehousing systems.
